Ages 5-7: July 2-3 9am Mad Hatter Tea Party
Welcome all to the grandest tea party adventure. Campers in this session will be designing and making their own tea cups and saucers. Once the pieces are formed, They will decorate with underglazes, stamps, and stencils. NOTE: This special class has an additional date for the TEA PARTY! We will have a tea party wherein campers can come enjoy cookies and tea (or punch), and use their created objects. (There is no dress code for the tea party. We just want campers to have fun celebrating what they made.)
Ages 8-12: July 2-3 9am Bejeweled! Create your own jewelry!
Campers who attend this jewelry making session will enjoy learning about shape, texture, and form. We will be creating several jewelry items, including necklaces, bracelets, and a trinket dish to hold the jewelry! Come play with clay, stamps, and color to create wearable art.
Ages 8-12: July 2-3 9am Superheroes and Stamping
Do you have a camper who wants to see superhero designs in everything? Superhero cups, superhero bowls, superhero locker magnets… Whatever the idea, we are here to help your campers bring out their inner superheroes. We have plenty of custom studio stamps from which children can design their own superhero logo, or use ones that are familiar to them. We will be studying hand construction and applying textures and underglazes while making some *super* cool items!
Ages 5-7: July 2-3 12:30pm Yarrrr! It’s Treasure Trove Time!
During Treasure Trove, campers will create a container to hold small treasures, small treasure pieces, as well as other pirate-esque items. We will be focusing on handbuilding, creating forms that fit together, and adding details.
Ages 8-12: July 2-3 12:30pm Magic and Castles
Does your child like adventure? Magic? Fantasy stories? Dragons? Fairies? Trolls? In this camp session, we will be making castles, fairy houses, or magic hobbit/troll houses. We will be using slab building techniques to create the structures, while at the same time adding texture and details. Campers will use underglaze techniques for adding color.
