Pottery Lane started as a dream, over 20 years ago

Pottery Lane is a team of artists and friends that believe in the power of hands-on creativity. We have come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences that have brought us all together.

Pottery Lane derives its name from a double entendre. First, it comes from Kelly’s grandma, Letty Lane Kermode. If you knew Letty, you knew she was a force to be reckoned with. She was artistic and could make something from nothing. Her middle name is a family tradition in her honor. Just as well, the word “lane” means path. As anything in life, we all carry our own creative journey with us. We hope that Pottery Lane provides a creative path for you.

Expert Instructors

Our teaching staff is passionate about pottery and bringing the best experience to our studio potters. We consider ourselves co-learners and co-teachers as we can all learn from each other. We just want everyone to have fun and improve their practices.

What a wonderful experience! I learned so much and greatly enjoyed my class time there. The staff are great teachers and you can learn so much from your classmates. The studio is a lovely creative space and I can’t wait to take another class!

Our Mission

By being a community for learning the art of pottery, Pottery Lane provides an opportunity for creativity, a place to be present, and a respite from the daily lives that distract us from ourselves. We foster opportunities for people to become both grounded and inspired by working with clay.
