At Pottery Lane, we’re passionate about pottery and want to help artists of all skill levels bring their creations to fruition. Even if you’re not a member of our studio, we offer kiln firing services for your ceramic pieces.
What We Offer:
- Multiple Firing Options: We offer a variety of firing schedules to meet your specific needs, from bisque (^04-05) to glaze (^6) firing.
- Expert Staff: Our experienced staff will carefully load and unload your work to ensure proper firing and handling.
- Safe and Efficient Firing: Our kilns are well-maintained and monitored to guarantee consistent and reliable results.

Glaze firing $2/lb*
*Weight taken at intake.
Getting Started:
- Contact Us: Reach out to us by phone or email to inquire about availability and discuss your specific needs.
- Prepare Your Work: Ensure your pieces are completely dry, free of debris, and properly labeled before bringing them in.
- Drop Off & Pick Up: During open hours, drop off your work at the studio, complete the required form, and pick it up once the firing is complete.
Please Note:
- We require all work to be picked up within 30 days of pick-up notification.
- We cannot guarantee specific firing results due to the inherent variability of the ceramic process.

FIRING TERMS & CONDITIONS
Pottery Lane is not responsible for any cracking, exploding, or glazing issues including but not limited to pitting, crawling, crazing, running, wrong color results, thickness, etc. We take every necessary precaution before firing your work, including a minimum 4-6 hr pre-heat on bisque firings.
Expect 2-4 weeks for return and possibly longer for specialty firings. Full kilns may be rented at the current rate, and a $25 rush fee may be added if you need a quicker return.
Pottery Lane is not responsible for prepping your work for firing. Include all supports, clay patties/cookies to catch any drips, and any necessary supports for each item. We will load your work how it is presented to the intake personnel.
Glaze Drip Damages: If your glazes run off your piece onto our kiln shelves, there is a $5/drip fine. If the entire shelf is ruined, you are responsible for a replacement at the going rate.
