Workshop Outline
We will start with a short tour of the space, where to find everything, as well as where things go for clean up. Then we will walk you through how to prepare your clay and your wheel station for throwing, including wedging your clay and getting the right tools for the job.
After the introduction, we will demo throwing on the wheel for attendees, and talking through focus areas.
Off to the wheel you go, and you begin centering your clay and moving toward creating your piece.
After throwing for a bit, we clean up and wrap up the workshop with glaze choices. You will pick a glaze for each of your pieces that you decide to keep.
- Sharing Introductions, as well as taking a short studio tour
- Prepping the clay and getting a demo
- Throwing on the wheel
- Cleaning up / finishing up / Choosing glazes for thrown pieces
- Answering any final questions, and we’re done!
