Whether you are a fan of monsters, goblins, elves, or fairies, this camp session is all about adding personality to clay creations. Campers will sculpt faces and learn how to add small details to make their creatures come to life. Campers will create both functional and decorative pieces in this session.

During this session, campers will make functional pieces like mugs, containers in the shape of a favorite food, a decorated plate. We will add details using additive pieces, textures, and contrasting colors. Campers will create containers using food as inspiration, as well as create functional dishes.
Ages 8-12: July 11-12 9am A Walk in the Woods – Using Nature to add texture to clay creations

Ages 5-7: July 11-12 9am A Walk in the Woods – Using Nature to add texture to clay creations
In this session, we will explore ways to use nature to add detail and texture to hand-crafted pieces. Campers will learn how to use textures in pottery by pressing leaves, sticks, pine needles and other textures into clay. We will also use underglaze and oxide washes to emphasize and color the pieces. Campers will make bowls, wall hangings, and cups.
Ages 8-12: July 11-12 12:30pm Handbuilding 101
In this camp session, we will build using a variety of hand building techniques, including slab building, pinch pots, as well as coil construction. Campers will have choices as to the projects they would like to create.

Ages 5-7: July 11-12 12:30pm All the Small Creatures
Creepers, crawlers, flyers, and chirpers – we are sculpting bugs and birds! During this camp session, campers get to choose bugs and birds they would love to create out of clay. We will be adding textures and detail, as well as learning how to apply underglazes to clay.
